Plastic taste from kettle water.?

Can a plastic kettle become dangerous if you boil the next lot of water without waiting the 5m cooling period?

    Dont get plastic kettles, get metal ones. Then plastic won’t melt or give plastic taste

    I had the same problem with my kettle.

    It doesn’t go away either.
